This park, known as Lake Winnie among the locals, was rated one of America’s Top 10 family amusement parks by Travel and Leisure magazine. Located at the foot of Raccoon Mountain, just five miles from downtown Chattanooga, this cave and campground area is secluded, yet conveniently close to other attractions. The casual observer will delight in the show cave, but serious spelunkers will enjoy the longer, muddier, “wild cave” tours. Above ground, the park offers hiking trails, a swimming pool, batting cages and a playground.

Take a self-guided tour through the aquarium and marvel at 300 species of fish in addition to numerous free flying birds, amphibians, reptiles, mammals, seahorses and extensive plant life. This seven-acre park is part of the Tennessee Riverpark, a 22-mile public park along the Tennessee River. The park features a hand-carved carousel, a pavilion, an interactive play fountain, an open-air performance venue and lots of open space. Restaurants, shops, and several popular attractions, including the Walnut Street Bridge and the Walnut Wall Climbing Facility, surround the park.
